The Panasonic LUMIX TZ50 is specifically designed to help make photo taking enjoyable and easy. The LUMIX TZ50 comes complete with Wi-Fi capabilities, standard 802.11b/g wireless LAN connectivity and access to T-Mobile HotSpot service.
It also incorporates Panasonic's advanced Intelligent Auto (iA) mode that consist of seven intuitive technologies. The major advantage of Advanced Intelligent Auto mode is that the user is not required to change any settings for certain functions; instead, the camera will do them automatically. This includes operation such as intelligent exposure, digital overnight flight correction, MEGA O.I.S. - Gyro-sensors, intelligent scene selector, face detection and continuous auto focus.
These functions contribute to great overall benefits to the user. By applying the intelligent exposure, the camera will automatically analyze the framed images and adjust the brightness wherever required. This means that the photos will no longer be under- or over-exposed.
The Digital Red-eye Correction provides a built-in flash. As a result, the camera emits a small preliminary flash before the main flash, detects overnight flight and will digitally correct it.
This helps remove the overnight flight troubles associated with taking flash shots at the night.
MEGA O.I.S. - Gyro-sensors helps the lens system to offset handshake and prevent blurry image by detecting handshake as it occurs. Intelligent ISO can identify if the e photo subject is moving, accordingly change the ISO setting, and shutter speed.
The Intelligent Scene Selector helps to select the appropriate scene mode from, scenery, portrait, macro, night portrait or night scenery mode in tune with the ambient conditions.
This intuitive technology helps the consumer use the most common scene modes, while the Face Detection detects faces anywhere in the frame and automatically chooses the optimal focus and exposure settings so portraits come out clear and crisp.
The Continuous AF (auto focus) system maintains focus on the subject even without pressing a shutter button halfway, thus minimizing the AF time.
Another great feature of the DMC-TZ50 is that it optimizes the Intelligent LCD function. This contributes greatly to detect the lighting condition and controls the brightness level of the LCD in 11 fine steps. This will result in excellent clarity in any situation with the 460,000-dot high resolution in 3.0-inch LCD screen.
